What is the difference between a customer BP and a supplier BP?

The Business Partner approach is a new concept in SAP S/4HANA (unlike SAP ERP) which enables the central maintenance of business partner, supplier or customer data. The business partner role is used to distinguish between a supplier BP and a customer BP. The supplier and FI vendor role are applicable for the supplier BP, while the customer and FI customer role is applicable for the customer BP.
