Yes. SAP HANA provides three different strategies to protect your data from a hardware crash. The strategies are backup, storage, and system replications. One can use the backup as a tool to periodically save the data either in local storage or in backup tapes. With the help of the backup, the database can be restored to its last working state without any data loss. Still, there is a chance of data loss, if local storage crashes. To avoid this customers can use storage replication and system replication to replicate the data to another data center. This ensures the data is protected during a hardware crash.
